Can the app replace my FreeStyle Libre reader? Yes. The app was developed using the same technology that is in the FreeStyle Libre reader for receiving and processing glucose data, so it can also be used for routine glucose monitoring. The app can be used instead of or in combination with the FreeStyle Libre reader.

When I had the 10 day sensor I could use the glimp app to calibrate the sensor based on blood tests. The first two 14 day sensors I've tried read LO (less then 40, I think) when my blood tests 103.
I have a Freestyle Libra Sensor for which I have downloaded the Freestyle Libra App but the NFC is clearly not working on my iPhone SE 2020 as it can no longer detect the scanner, and my Apple Pay doesn't work either. The first tone indicates the phone's NFC has recognized the sensor. The second tone indicates the scan is complete. After you've applied a FreeStyle Libre sensor to the back of your upper arm, open the app and tap one of the scan buttons within the app to put the iPhone in a scan-ready state.
