Garmin fenix 5X altimeter issues. Hi, I have garmin fenix 5X and my altimeter/barometer not working properly. When a try to calibrate it it says calibration failed. During activity it miscalculate elevation by +30-50%. Also it is not counting stairs/flights i have always 0. Also barometer not showing anything.
So far I never had issues with a Fenix 1, Fenix 3 and Fenix 5 Plus, the distances are consistent and ant+ sensors (tempe, footpod, HRM) work fine. My last competition with warm-up and race in seperate activities (with ~10min in between) is a year ago (also without issues).
Fenix 7S: 42 x 42 x 14.1 mm. Fenix 7X: 51 x 51 x 14.9 mm. The Garmin Fenix 7 was announced in early 2022 with tons of improvements over the previous Fenix 6 generation. The biggest change is the addition of a touchscreen to all models, a first for the Fenix series, but don't worry, the hardware buttons are still here.

So far I’ve gone through 1x Fenix 7S solar and 2x Fenix 7 solars in the last 3months, all with similar issues. Total Ascent seems to over-read by anything between 15 and 20%. This when compared to Edge 520 and Forerunner 735XT units which both show almost identical TA readings on the same route on the same day.

Beach Camera via Amazon continues to offer the Garmin fenix 6 Pro Solar for $379. That's $370 off its former price of $749 ( 53%ff list) and $20 shy of its all-time low price at Amazon. By
My Fenix 5 plus also misses to count several stairs climbed per day. :(And that, although the altitude difference exceets 3m. I noticed, that my watch is ALWAYS refusing to count one particular stair. The stair has a total of 20 steps and changes direction by 180° in the middle.
Inaccurate altimeter, should I factory reset? GaryMort over 3 years ago. My wife and I both have Fenix 6 Pro watches (latest 8.10 SW) and until recently both recorded a very similar elevation gain for the runs we do together, which I should expect. However, for the past week my elevation has be approximately 100ft more than my wife's which is a
This Support Center article goes over both calibrating and cleaning the port(s) - Troubleshooting the fenix Chronos and fenix 5 Series Altimeter and Barometer. All Replies 0 subra over 2 years ago Hi all, i'm looking to see if any other community members have had similar issues before I contact Garmin support. I have a 3 month old Fenix 6X Pro, i have been using it successfully for the last few months marathon training.
